Shirley Court received a newspaper article from the Herkimer Historical Society indicating the death of John Schermerhorn, age about 58, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The article was dated September 23, 1847. Married in St. George's Cathedral, Kingston, per Shirley Court, who obtained this from Kingston Anglican Church Archives. I now have copy of said article.
