Trail of Tears
between 1830 and 1830 (Age 5 years)
Note: The Trail of Tears is a name given to the ethnic cleansing and forced relocation of Native American nations from southeastern parts of the United States following the Indian Removal Act of 1830. The removal included many members of the Cherokee, Muscogee (Creek), Seminole, Chickasaw, and Choctaw nations, among others in the United States, from their homelands to Indian Territory in eastern sections of the present-day state of Oklahoma. The phrase originated from a description of the removal of the Choctaw Nation in 1831. In 1831 the Choctaw were the first to be removed, and they became the model for all other removals. After the Choctaw, the Seminole were removed in 1832, the Creek in 1834, then the Chickasaw in 1837, and finally the Cherokee in 1838. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trail_of_Tears

Note: The Texas Revolution (or Texas War of Independence) was fought from October 2, 1835 to April 21, 1836 between Mexico and the Texas (Tejas) portion of the Mexican state of Coahuila y Tejas. The Texas Revolution erupted in 1836, after Texas declared its independence from Mexico. Mexico responded by invading Texas, where General Santa Anna won decisive victories in the battles of the Alamo and Goliad. The war ended at the Battle of San Jacinto (about 20 miles) east of modern day downtown Houston) where General Sam Houston led the Texas Army to victory in 18 minutes over a portion of the Mexican Army under Santa Anna, who was captured shortly after the battle. The conclusion of the war resulted in the creation of the Republic of Texas - http://goo.gl/4B84q9

Note

In the marriage records of Luis Frias to Antonia Alcal`on February 8, 1853 there is no customary listing of his parents. There was an indication in the rcords that he was a widower and that his previous wife, Micaela Seja, had died more that one year prior. A search for the marriage of Luis Frias to Micaela Seja was conducted and no record was found under those names. A record was located in 1846 of the marriage of one Luis Diaz to Micaela Seja. Examination of that record and the marriage records of Luis Frias above indicate that Luis Frias and Luis Diaz were of the same age and from the same town. Luis Diaz parents were listed as Ermenegildo Diaz and Jana Maria Hurtado. A search of baptism records for 1824, the year Luis Frias and Luis Diaz were born, produced a baptism record of Jose Luis Agunin Frias for May 8, 1824. His parents are listed as Florentino Frias and Guadalupe Ybarra. It was also noted that the padrinos (godparents) were listed as Ermenegildo Diaz and Juana Hurtado. In addition to the above a death record was located in 1930 of Maria SocorroFrias that listed her parents as Luis Frias and Micaela Seja. All the above appears to sufficient evidence to conclude that Luis Frias, Luis Diaz, and Jose Luis Agunin Frias are different names used by the same person and that his parents are in fact Florentino Frias and Guadalupe Ybarra.
