Attorneys A. L. Noble and E. Sample were called to Elm Mills township on Monday to appear 111 a case brought by Manly & Monroe, of Lawrence, Ks., against Adam Rauhut. Tho case was heardbeforeJusticeW.il. Slack and judgment rendered in favor of the plaintiffs. The suit was brought for possession of the farm now he'd by Mr. Rauhut who claims that he had verbal ly leased the mill and farm for another year, but neglected to have the lease written. Though Mr. Rauhut lost in his trial, he will still bo permitted to control and operate the mill until due notice to quit is given him. We have not learned as to whether or not the case will be appealed. Mr. Noble repre sents the plaintiff and E. Sample the defendant.
